Ensure that you are online when you launch the desktop application for the first time. The login credentials you provided are authenticated with your credentials on the server. You can start using the desktop application in the offline mode after your first login. If you select Remember Me, the current session is availableto you for 14 days provided you do not log out of the application.
For these days, you are taken directly to the Projects view whenyou use the Adobe Story link. Do not use this option when workingon a shared computer. When you go online, Adobe Story tries to automatically updatethe offline script with the online version. If there is a differencebetween the two versions, a copy of the online version is createdin the projects folder. You can choose to continue working withthe version you were working on when you were offline, or work on theonline version.
When you switch back to the online mode, the Unlock Filesdialog box appears using which you can unlock your documents. The following icons in the Projects view indicate the sync status of scripts in the desktop application. The online script is not available in theoffline mode. Scripts that are shared with you are not availableto you in the offline mode. The red dot also appears when thereis a problem with updating the two versions of the script.
Connect to the Internet. Click the Onlinebutton. Adobe Story updates the online version with changes in the offlinecontent. Use the document preferences option Make Versions Available Offline to make online versions available in the offline mode. This option is a document level setting and disabled by default. When the Make Versions Available Offline option is disabled, and the desktop application is in the offline mode:.
Right click the app in Finder and choose "Show Package Contents" open the "Contents" folder and then open the "Resources" folder once inside, look for the folder labeled "app" once there you should find a file labeled: "config.
Save the file. Next time you run the app it should be using the default design. Head to your program files folder, and find the folder for "Adobe Story", open the "app" folder, once there you should find a file labeled: "config. This will create a Windows installer, and create an OS X. No Linux installer. The compiled binaries can be found in the releases folder.
